Raspberry and Anise are a typical Dutch pairing, the tastes of childhood for Iris. Bought together in this gorgeously creamy and accessible milk chocolate with a rich intricate profile but no hard edges.  Esmeraldas cacao has such a great presence it still delivers a lovely chocolatey baseline even when served as a milk, and creates the perfect stage for other inclusions to join the performance.
 
Costa Esmeraldas cacao is the only Cacao of Excellence from Ecuador in the 2019-2021 competition.  We have recently agreed exclusive distributuion of this wonderful cacao and were the first in Europe to use it.  It has a full-on chocolate presence, really a shining example of flawless Ecuadorian cacao, that gives us lots of room to explore pairing.
 
This bar contains nuts - Tuono Almonds.  49% is at the top end of the milk category and while this bar brings the chocolate it's mellow, the raspberry is mellow, the anise adds a gorgeous light dimension and leaves us satisfied and yet wanting more.  Exquisite.
